Noonan, Curtis W. Associate Professor

Positions

I am an Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the Center for Environmental Health Sciences (CEHS) at the University of Montana. This research center is housed within the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the College of Health Professions and Biomedical Sciences. My laboratory engages in population-based research to investigate inhalation exposures and respiratory health. I am co-Principal Investigator of a randomized trial of indoor air quality associated with biomass combustion and childhood asthma funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). I am also the Principal Investigator on a sub-contract for a CDC funded study on asbestos exposure and respiratory health in Libby, MT. For this project I serve as the expert for exposure assessment, epidemiology and statistical analysis with partners at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I have also collaborated with others on several community-based participatory research projects focused on diabetes risk factors and health disparities among at-risk populations.
